Growth Hormone Releasing Factor Rabbit Polyclonal, rat affinity-purified biotin labeled [AB-16APBT]

SKU: AB-16APBT Category: Quantity: 50 ug | Antibody Type: affinity-purified, Polyclonal | Host: Rabbit | Reactivity: rat | Conjugate: Biotin | Usage: ELISA, immunoblotting |

Growth hormone-releasing factor (GRF) is a 44-amino-acid amidated peptide that stimulates the pituitary to release the 197-amino-acid protein growth hormone (GH or somatotropin). GRF is associated with neuronal cell bodies in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus. GH acts as a general anabolic stimulant, increases release of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I), cell growth and bone sulfation.

This antibody recognizes the growth hormone releasing hormone/factor in rat. Synthetic hpGRF 1-40 was used as immunogen. The antibody was purified from polyclonal antiserum using a CRF affinity column. It has been conjugated to biotin via an amide bond. The antibody is routinely tested by immunoblotting.

Applications include immunoblotting and ELISA.
