This abstract reports the results of a study to map the spatial distribution of different lipid species in the rat central nervous system (CNS) using imaging mass spectrometry. The data obtained are compared to a model of irreversible dementia, the 192-IgG-SAP (Cat. #IT-01) lesion model of the cholinergic basal neurons.
