Dynorphin A is a 17 amino acid opioid peptide widely distributed within the CNS whose effects are exerted primarily through the k-opioid receptor. Depending on the site of production, Dynorphin has many different physiological actions, including analgesia, addiction, appetite, circadian rhythms, stress, and depression.
Dynorphin-SAP is a chemical conjugate of dynorphin A (17 aa) and the ribosome-inactivating protein, saporin. It eliminates kappa-opioid receptor expressing cells.
Dynorphin-SAP is available individually (Cat. #IT-68) or as a kit (Cat. #KIT-68) which includes Dyno-SAP and Blank-SAP (Cat. #IT-21).
