NORE1 (novel Ras effector 1) is a growth and tumor suppressor protein that is frequently inactivated in various cancers. The full-length 47 kDa protein contains an N-terminal proline-rich region, a putative diacylglycerol/phorbol ester-binding domain, and a C-terminal Ras-binding domain. The human NORE1 gene produces multiple isoforms, with NORE1A and NORE1B being the most prominent.
