ATPaseA, also known as SMARCAL1, is a DNA-dependent ATPase that hydrolyzes ATP in the presence of DNA. Proteins in this family are classified as helicases due to their ability to utilize ATP hydrolysis to unwind DNA, facilitating replication. The eukaryotic ATPase targeted by this monoclonal antibody shares sequence homology with the ATPase from T4 bacteriophages, resulting in cross-reactivity with epitopes common to both proteins.
Mouse antibody generated against immunopurified calf thymus ATPaseA and recognizes the c-terminus of native bovine, human, and mouse homologs.
Applications include immunopreciptation and western blot.
