Notch3 is a transmembrane protein belonging to the Notch superfamily, characterized by multiple extracellular EGF-like repeats and conserved Notch domains. The Notch signaling pathway is a highly conserved mechanism of cell-to-cell communication that governs a range of developmental processes, including lateral inhibition during embryogenesis. Notch3 has drawn attention as a potential therapeutic target, as it is over-expressed in several cancers and may contribute to tumor progression.
Mouse IgG monoclonal antibodies generated against human notch3 (partial, amino acids 807-884).
Applications include western blot.
