FMG-1B is the principal membrane glycoprotein found in the flagella of the bi-flagellate green algae Chlamydomonas. It plays a key role in intraflagellar transport (IFT) by serving as the flagellar surface component responsible for motor-driven force transduction. This function is essential for the proper assembly and maintenance of flagella, which are critical for motility and signaling in Chlamydomonas.
This mouse IgG1 antibody recognizes a carbohydrate epitope of Flagellar membrane glycoprotein 1B/ FMG-1B.
Applications include western blot.
