Bovine Adrenal Medulla Dodecapeptide (BAM 12P). This opioid peptide (k-opiate receptor) is a COOH-terminal extended bovine adrenomedullary Met-enkephalin dodecapeptide with the structure Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe-Met-Arg-Arg-Val-Gly-Arg-Pro-Glu-OH. This is a 12 amino acid fragment of the enkephalin precursor preproenkephalin A.

This antibody recognizes mammalian BAM 12P. The immunogen is a synthetic replicate of BAM 12P. The antibody is routinely tested by dot blot.

Applications include immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry, and radioimmunoassay.
