CTACK is a chemotactic factor that attracts skin-associated memory T-lymphocytes. CTACK is involved in mediating homing of lymphocytes to cutaneous sites. CTACK binds to CCR10.
Human recombinant CTACK is produced in E. coli as a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 89 amino acids, corresponding to amino acids 25-112 of the native protein. The molecular weight is 10.3 kDa. CTACK is purified by column chromatography. This protein is 95% pure as determined by SDS-PAGE. CTACK is stored in 10 mM sodium citrate pH 3.5/10% glycerol.
