The monoclonal CD25 antibody inhibits the proliferation of Interleukin-2 (IL-2)-dependent human continuous T-cell lines. It blocks the human T-cell receptor for IL-2 by binding to the alpha-chain of the IL-2 receptor. In antigen-induced T-cell proliferative assays, the addition of highly purified IL-2 reverses the inhibitory effects of anti-Tac.
This antibody recognizes the human Interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor. Cultured human T-cells were used as immunogen. This antibody was produced in tissue culture supernatants. It has been conjugated to biotin via an amide bond. The antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometry.
Applications include cytotoxic killer cell activity, proliferation inhibition, and flow cytometry.
