d-Biotin is a natural vitamin that binds to avidin strongly and irreversibly.
This antibody was developed and affinity-purified with d-biotin-agarose beads using d-biotin as antigen. The antibody binds biotin strongly but reversibly. It will react with free biotin and biotinylated antibody and proteins. This antibody was conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) via reductive amination at an antibody/HRP ratio of approximately 1/10.
Reported to be effective for quantitative ELISA, immunoblotting (western blot), and immunohistochemistry.
